Just 90 minutes north of Seattle by plane lies Ketchikan, where an Alaskan adventure awaits you. Enjoy p____（原始，且非常纯净的） rainforest, abundant wildlife, fascinating native culture and more in Ketchikan.Located on Revillagigedo Island, Ketchikan is Alaska's southernmost port of call for v______(船舶) traveling the Inside Passage. Large passenger ships dock in this port, enabling their guests to explore the town and surrounding area.

Originally a fishing camp, the town took its name from Ketchikan Creek, which flows through the area. Historic Creek Street runs along part of the creek. Lined with restaurants, galleries, and gift shops featuring Alaskan crafts, this street gives visitors a taste of Alaskan history. Not far away, The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show showcases competitions in logrolling, speed climbing, chopping and ax throwing!

Kedchikan lies in the heart of 17-million-acre Tongass National Forest, where birds and other wildlife make their home. Bears can often be seen searching for their favorite food — salmon — in streams that flow through the forest.M_____ (威严的，雄伟的) bald eagles also feat on the salmon. And in spring, the sound of baby eagles calling from their nests for lunch and dinner fills the air.

Birds are not the only ones that fly high in the sky. Floatplanes gives visitors a bird’s eye view of misty Fjords National Monument, 40 miles to the south. Created by g____(冰川) this wilderness area e______(包含，内含) numerous waterfalls, mist-covered ridges and miles of glaciers.
